This past week in the lab, several grades did activities that will help prepare them for their possible careers at NASA: More kindergarteners built and launched paper helicopters, to see how objects are affected by gravity, third graders built models of the earth and sun to show how the earth rotates and revolves, and showed how the movement of the moon results in the different phases of the moon, and sixth graders demonstrated Newton’s Third Law of Motion (for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction) using scooters, slingshots, and pull-back cars.
And that giraffe? Las time I checked, she’s still pregnant!
