As we head into the summer, keep in mind that there are many fun science-related things you can do during the school break, such as
- visit the library and find a book about science
- learn more about the upcoming solar eclipse at https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/
- get some solar eclipse glasses online and watch the eclipse on August 21 (I’ll be doing that!) If you’re in NJ, you’ll see the sun partly blocked out.
- take a nature walk and look under rocks for little animals
- visit a park, nature center, zoo or aquarium to learn about animals
- plant a garden
- visit the school garden to see what’s in bloom
- look online for fun chemistry experiments to do at home
- start a rock collection
